Let's start from the popular note app, Evernote.
I am a loyal fan of Evernote even though I am not a note-taking person. The reason why I started using Evernote is because I am impressed with what their other app Skitch, at least I used to until some angry tennagers stole my iPad and my Mac. Way to welcome international friends to Australia or should I say NSW. (I am bloody away if you wonder where the bloody I am)
Ok, let's start with something that things I do not like with Evernote.
iPhone version 7.1.2.305179.
1. NO PASSWORD LOCK.
I am so pissed that evernote does not have a password lock if you using a free account. Please stop dreaming that I would pay for 5 dollars a month to just get the only feature I want from a premium account. I still remember an update I saw on evernote's website or in its app (I am not 100 percent sure I even saw that now), it said they are going to introduce password lock to free accounts VERY SOON. Yeah, I cannot even remember when I saw this, very soon turns out not so much very soon. Today, I even sent a feedback to Evernote threatening them to cheat with DayOne, another elegant note app that I downloaded when it was free, if the password lock is still not available. Well, I was bluffing... or was I...
2. NOT Smooth when creating an quick note
I do not know why they focus so much on the UI and interaction design (even though I admit that it does look better than other app on iOS 7) of the app that they do not even notice that when you want to create a quick note the transaction is not smooth ? maybe it's because I am using an OLD iPhone 5 instead of your preferred iPhone 5S? Whatever, I am not gonna replace my phone just because of a stupid app.
3. Stop hiding my TAG button
I am not an organised person or at least not with my notes so I preferred to add tags to them to make sure that if I ever want to reviews things I wrote, I can find them quickly. Well, it's not a pleasant every time you have to press the "More" button if you want to add a tag. What else is in "More"? Map, why would I want to change my location? Why do not you just replace the "More" with "TAG"...
